       Namecheap got bought out by CVC. I'm looking to move my domains away from them because I have a feeling it will go to shit. Anyone know of any other decent registrars?

       Dynadot was brought up a lot on LET about this. Seems to be one of the cheaper options for .com TLDs, I'm probably going to give them a try once I get paid

       @radmin I'm in the crowd of Gen Z netizens neglecting their personal sites. I've spent more time just redesigning my homepage than actually writing shit on it 😅I have ideas of what I want to do with it... too many though so I end up not doing anything at all x_x

       @iska There was another misskey fork that I had used called Cherrypick which was quite nice. Softer fork than Sharkey, but seemed to just work without that many issues.It hasn't seen much development in a while though and the latest release has a few odd bugs. Maybe misskey and it's forks are a lost cause 🥴

       We had to block off the fireplace to stop Tux from climbing in. It worked for so long but I think he's finally starting to work it out...

       @raccoon I've heard of [LinkStack](https://linkstack.org/) being recommended before, never used it myself personally but it might be what you're looking for

       @kaiiak Some cheap 20€/year lowendtalk VPS from hosteroid. It has been a fairly good experience so far almost a year in which surprised me :)I had previously used hetzner which cost more money for a similar spec. Never had any issues. If I had to recommend a provider, it'd probably be hetzner

       @radmin I never really understood the hype behind Omarchy. I had one look at the wiki and noped out after I saw that they were bundling in non-free software (Obsidian - which they claim is ""free"", 1password, Spotify, typora, whatever else was under "commercial guis"). Disgusting. Why anyone would fund what could literally just be a bash script to install everything is beyond me.

       I was cleaning out my espresso machine and found an entire ecosystem in some filters that I don't use. I guess a while ago some coffee had leaked out into them and I never noticed, ewww ;-;

       @radmin > apt is so behind with updates, it's unrealDebian has backports for this reason. If newer software is needed, it should be available there. Although given how recent the Trixie release is, most of the software I've come across is still fairly new-ish - blender for instance isn't that outdated lolI think flatpaks have their uses (immutable distros, software not packaged in <insert distro here>). But I never really tend to use them, let alone install software from backports. The old stuff just works and gets patched to work better™️

       @fiore learncpp.com and cppreference.com had been quite useful for me when I started doing c++ at uni., might be what you're looking for? they both have trackers on their pages, but they can easily be blocked.
