@lightweight just started using Digital Ocean to host a couple sites and run an instance of Matomo analytics. Very happy with the set up so far. Appreciate the active community and plenty tutorials

@Gina quick question if you don't mind? Do you use a vnc server & client for remote desktop access for Mint machines? If so, which one? I've been trying tightvnc but not having much joy yet...Thanks!

@LinuxLounge I've never converted someone to Linux after fixing their windows machine. been much more successful encouraging Linux adoption by saying "if u want my help, I only do Linux". Not being unhelpful/rude, there are just plenty of windows people out there alreadyHave done 30+ :linuxmintnew: distros on used machines in last year with no issues. all previous windows users who wouldn't have made the jump otherwise. Whatever works for you!

Spent better part of a day trying to automate scraping & downloading 80+ xlsx sheets of govt stats only to be frustrated at every turn by inconsistent file & url naming conventions. The code wouldn't have been reusable. Ended up doing it manually in under an hour. Then went for a beer. Not sure if it was deserved but it was needed
