@fabio Very true.More worrisome than artificial intelligence is natural stupidity.It depresses me that the human species is so stricken with greed.These greedy execs only pay us engineers b/c they can’t get rid of us (yet).Then why do we engineers endure—and submit to—these Dunning–Kruger types anyway? They clearly don’t care about us, and it’s not that we who do the heavy lifting would have a need for their hampering incompetency to carry the weight.

It’s really sickening how corporate media is enabling fascism, in their pursuit of sensationalism. Even in Germany which should know better.Here’s an image for when you search for "afd" (alternative for Germany): literally direct quotes of- the one co-boss claiming "Putin is not a war criminal"- the other co-boss claiming "we are no conspiracy theorists"as video thumbnails.Imagine the average uneducated citizen incapable of critical thinking:"I saw it on YouTube, so it must be true."

@dangillmor The corporate media is failing at journalism in Germany too.Rather than appropriately writing "Co-boss of extremely right, Hitler-admiring, soon-to-be-forbidden party AfD falsely and blatantly pretends to not be a conspiracy theorist."……they choose to directly quote her lie "We are no conspiracy theorists" and leave it unchallenged to stand for itself in huge letters in the video thumbnail.(I didn’t watch the video to see if they ever refute it, which hardly matters anymore.)

Mozilla bought the excellent Android email app K-9 (which didn’t include any trackers) and integrated trackers as part of #Mozilla‘s rebranding under the #Thunderbird name.They even made it opt-out instead of opt-in. @aral I remember when @parismarx did his #worstpersonintech poll at the end of 2022, and of course Elon Musk won. But entirely for the wrong reason.People had been addicted to Twitter, some for 15 years. And Musk ruined Twitter for them, so they disliked him.Like a child screaming and kicking at its parents after they take its favorite toy away.They didn’t understand that Musk is a fascist who did exactly what he intended to do, rather than ruining Twitter as a side-effect of incompetence.
