The first generation of go-e EV chargers seem to torture their ABB contactors until failure.The one my parents have failed after about four years. The internet speculates that they turn off the contactor without telling the car to stop pulling current first.They also really hot glued ESP8266 and RFID dev boards into their product.

I am disappointed that @matrix didn't publish any response to the Soatok post. At least to provide some context about- Why was an insecure crypto implementation knowingly chosen for libolm?- Why was the fact that libolm is potentially insecure not clearly communicated?- Why was the crypto implementation not replaced sooner?- Why is the ecosystem so slow to start using the Rust rewrite?- Does the foundation plan to do anything about that?#matrix #libolm

These are just a few questions that I saw popping up repeatedly. Yes, *I* can piece together answers to many of them, but "Matthew wrote something in a Matrix room somewhere" is not something you can easily link to.
