       @tek @suetanvilI have heard stories of how "Toot" came into use, how it was a joke.But it stuck. Languages pick up words in all sorts of ways. What matters is whether a word endures. Jargon or slang or argot, it's a real word.

       @tekI am not perfect about doing content warnings, but I try. Some people produce stuff I mostly agree with, but never a content warning.I try to stay polite but sometimes I will use an old speaking alphabet.William Tare Fox, over.It's as easy as Ack Beer Charlie.
