@selea I can't use some "important" sites, because strict privacy settings within Firefox blocks cloudflare.Also some sites only work partial, because Google APIs are also blocked.We need to get back to a decentralised web! Also people keeping up with central CDNs: Firefox now also added separated caches. They just don't work the way people still think.

@hyperrealgopher not sure about markdown in particular. I've used the built-in make functionality when writing rst. I just execute it on save or by hand. It then will be compiled to an PDF. This is opened side by side and the PDF viewer refreshes and keeps the current view port.Maybe that generic solution helps?That way you can use whatever compiler you prefer. And there are tons in many languages :)

@yarmo I try to prevent such things. PT is top level domain of Portugal.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/.ptJust like io and other domains. They serve a purpose and create expectations.

@kzimmermann didn't try yaft. I switched to st https://st.suckless.org/ .It also has no configuration by default. As I'm on Ubuntu, I uses nix-env to install st. That way I can apply patches before nix will compile the software. That's pretty easy to maintain. Don't know your environment, but that might be a solution to your stash workaround.

@metalune @kzimmermann i still use Spotify exactly for releases and recommendations.Still have my local files for regular listening. Syncing to mobile phone is done via own Nextcloud. Music is bought by online stores of bands and 2nd hand local stores.

I'm working in the web area as a backend developer using PHP.Many projects use #NodeJS in order to generate their JS and CSS Assets.There are so many reports regarding compromised packages and the whole ecosystem seems none trustworthy to me. That makes me feel #insecure.Still I need to execute the installation of packages and compilation of assets.I've found https://pdos.csail.mit.edu/archive/mbox/ and am unsure whether that will protect my machine.Can anyone tell me whether that will protect me?

The user can decide whether it should be allowed or declined. As well as how long the decision should last. The decision can be defined based on IP, Port, Executable, etc.
