       @rms Why shouldn't anyone who wishes (free from coercion) to die, be denied the right to do so painlessly? After all, people do attempt suicide, and those who survive are often horribly disabled, with no more hope for their situation than before the attempt. Allowing those people to die in a way they choose does not absolve society from its duty to help them, just as it does not when people commit suicide currently.

       @cstross In the US, definitely, but in the UK? Surely not! I would bet money there has never been a time in history where voting third party has been more viable. Obviously it depends where you live. But in what, fully half of constituencies? they have no chance!If anything the real risk is giving Starmer's red tory party a clear mandate.

       @ajroach42 Sometimes it is! In the UK at least, most movie tickets are ~£15 nowadays. But PeckhamPlex in London is consistently around £5 for a ticket. That's comfortably under your limit.I assume the buildings are rented, and the rent is extortionate. Overheads are obviously not trivial either.

       @ajroach42 same here, I subbed to Dropout a couple months ago and it's much better value than any mainstream service. Hadn't heard of Means.TV - I'll check them out
