I have an issue with my custom-built desktop PC where it won’t boot or even let me access the bios when external drives are connected. No, the drives don’t have a boot partition; they’re just data drives. Most PCs won’t try to boot off of a drive unless it has a boot partition, i.e., you formatted the drive and burned a Windows installation ISO to it. I thought it was boot order, but that couldn’t be it. Even if that was the issue, you would still be able to access the bios. Thoughts?

Boosts appreciated: I'm a #Reaper user, and I think the latest update broke something. Alt + Shift + Left/Right used to move by grid division. In the midi editor, it only moves by beats now, regardless of grid division setting. I heavily depend on the midi editor, so this prevents me from making music entirely. I am using Reaper with #Osara and #NVDA. What's going on here, and how can I fix this? #Blind #Musician #Producer #Music

About 2 years ago, I was told by a doctor I'm on the #Autism spectrum. My whole life, I've been eating poorly because I have a problem with textures. Generally anything wet/soft that has to be eaten with a fork makes me gag. One time I tried to force myself to get past it by eating those things anyway. Rather than making the problem better, it got worse. Is this an autism thing? How did you get past it? I forgot something important tonight, so I figure it's time for a fix before it gets worse.

Am I the only one who feels like blocking entire #Fediverse instances is harmful to the open-sourced ecosystem? There were talks to mandate IM services to allow basic texting/calling features to be interoperable. If that system is based off of the infrastructure we have now, people will block all the corporate services from federating with them, and we'll be right back at square 1. The right way to accomplish the same effect would be to allow instance mods to block individual users.

I am not a citizen of #Austin, #Texas. However, I am an #American citizen who firmly opposes the bill that would allow the counsel to string up AI-powered surveillance cameras all over the city. You should be against it too, because it sets a dangerous precedent. If Texas can get away with it, so can every state in the #USA. If the USA can get away with it, so can every single country in the world. I will personally do everything I can to fight this bill. #AI #ML #Politics #Freedom
