       I would prefer to not mislead newcomers into thinking custodial bitcoin is bitcoin.If no easy self-custodial wallet with lnurl exists then the ecosystem is just not ready to go mainstream and we gotta keep the low time preference.

       I have something to confess: even though I constantly shit on custodial wallets and shame the ones that use it, I use one myself.My custodial wallet of choice: Revolut. Like Wallet of Satoshi, it supports instant feeless payments in its proprietary app.What distinguishes me from custodial wallet apologists: I don&#39;t constantly jerk off and worship my custodial wallet and brag about it to the entire world as if it were actual freedom money being exchanged instead of what it actually is: numbers changing on a centralized spreadsheet.

       Who here has set their mempool max size larger than the default (300MB)? Why?Are mining pool nodes known for running way above the default? Any reliable sources on that?I had a 1sat/vbyte transaction that was purged from my mempool over 2 weeks ago. Is it safe to assume it was purged everywhere else? If you were me would you bother broadcasting a high fee transaction with the same input to sweep it back?

       Hyperbitcoinization is not a sure thing. Good ideas don&#39;t always succeed. If most people are not willing to take personal responsibility and self custody, they will always opt for &quot;State&quot; security over sovereignty. Even if the fiat State collapses, they will just comply with whoever else takes power by force after that.I&#39;ll save my other skepticisms for the next threads.

       With LocalMonero and Agoradesk gone, there are now (to my knowledge) a total of 0 (zero) Monero to Fiat p2p exchanges.The only remaining way is using Robosats / Bisq and interfacing with bitcoin.Very interesting that in this specific area, bitcoiners have built more robust solutions.
