Must be hard for the mass media to process the South Africa situation, because it’s literally a ‘race war’ but not one they can easily spin. The want it to be white vs black but it’s actually everyone (including mixed race ‘coloured’) vs bantu. Similar thing will happen in USA eventually. Stuff like the made up ‘White racism against Asians’ epidemic is a ploy to cause a rift between Whites and Asians, two groups who generally get a long and definitely would be allies in a ‘one struggle’ situation. The Americans want Whites and Asians to distrust each other, possibly a lead up to more severe anti-sino sentiment in the west as China becomes the dominant world power. Don’t buy into it and judge China on your own terms, personally I respect them overall but see them as a serious competitor.

Question: how do we bring optimism back to technology? I want to get excited about tech not worry about how it will be used to control or punish us for wrong think. I think in the open source world there is some but as soon as large corporations got involved we got deep state psyops like trans / lgbt and ‘anti-racism’ and other shit that is detrimental to absolutely ‘results based’ activities like programming and other computer science fields.Reasonable people don’t care what your race or gender is if you’re good at what you do. The fact ‘they’ (large corporations / USA deep state) injected all this intersectional bullshit into tech really hurts and it’s eventually going to lead to china eating our lunch. I just want to be optimistic about the whole thing again vs wanting to disappear off the grid.
