Early #Caturday shot of Molly watching us unloading groceries as we were dangerously close to dinner being almost on time... which was obviously too late for her liking. #CatsOfMastodon

We have a new game with Molly. We throw a piece of kibble. She chases it, attacks it, gobbles it up, then lets us know she wants to play again. We can keep her entertained for ages with a few pieces of food. She thinks it is the best thing ever. Her courage has shot up astronomically since we started this. Here she is waiting for me to make a throw so she can go chase again. #Caturday #CatsOfMastodon

@futurebird this would definitely explain the surge in confidence she has had... 😂

@futurebird this weekend I discovered tulips are in the lily family and also poisonous to cats. Good thing I checked before ordering them.

@futurebird online, back when IRC was social media and telling people you met online got you odd looks. But we have been married 26 years so it obviously worked.

@Stomata keep the new kitty in a separate room with its own amenities for a while. Possibly a werk or two. The separation will allow existing cat to grafually get used to the scent while avoiding territorialism from sight. After a few days of isolation, try rubbing new kitty with a towel or blanket, then leave that somewhere old cat can find it to allow more scent familiarity. Introduce them very very slowly after isolation period.
