@givenup @mjdigspigs @Rennegade same; for the effort I do tend toward caulis in part b/c they're more expensive at the store, but it's nice to have some really good homegrown regular broccoli too

@mjdigspigs @Rennegade @givenup it's an old Italian varietal, and I _think_ I've heard the cross involved a cauliflower which makes sense w/ the color, but idk about that part really.

@Rennegade @mjdigspigs @givenup I always suspect/expect cabbage-whites. Their caterpillars blend in very well.

@Rennegade @mjdigspigs @givenup They respond very well to bacillus thurenginensis and spinosad (bio/natural caterpillar controls).

@graf I think these are a cantaloupe type. Hopefully a break in the rain until tomorrow so it can dry up enough to get in-ground.

Had some incredibly dry/hot weather for the past few weeks. Wreaked havoc on the cracking, but we do have a few ripe toms.

@givenup They certainly do well in pots. Ime, those tend to have earlier ripening, although usually a smaller yield.

Dahlias survived all winter outside in little starter pots. Moved to a small starter and gave them a little boost a couple weeks ago; Probably ready to go out.

Hunh, looking at it not as rate but overall number, Florida actually has about 1.5 times the billionaires of NY, and they're only about a sixth & a fourth of the billionaire pop of CA respectively.RT: https://poa.st/objects/5fd89399-2b1a-4245-8029-54d860929e18

@graf @dnc If I get this place in shape going through fall and get the seed-starting/overwintering racks set up, I'll probably get back to growing that select few (Agata's, Bahamian goat, Jonah, et al.), and a much smaller set of test-trials for 2025.
