Marathon #RSO making session finally complete. This isn't for me, rather a friend with #lewybodydementia as I do. In his case the #parkinsonsdisease side of things took center stage bringing a great deal of pain. This is the only thing that helps, even a little so even though this was a lot of work, I bought my friend at least 120 days of sanity due to less agony.#homegrown #cannabis can be very efficacious in proper doses..

@fcktheworld587 Greetings. I really don't follow anyone and it's not for snobbish reasons. Rather the damage in my brain makes following too much or many things a nightmare so I don't. Except for this. Ironically back when Twitter was finding it's feet, I was working as an engineer just down the relative road at a kind of skunkworks for Sony on PS3, Xperia and more. Why share all this? To illustrate how irritating it is for me to me overwhelmed by Mastodon.To the rescue...

@fcktheworld587 Kind Sir, may I make a humble suggestion? When I was first diagnosed I researched my ass off and discovered an intersection between LBD and ADHD patients, a drop in dopamine levels. I have found that a simple cannabis extract that adheres to a CBD/THC ratio of 18:1 can unlock a scrambled mind by raising the dopamine levels in the brain. A friend with ADHD swears by this 18:1 cart I got, 60-75%CBD and 2-4%THC. Nort enough to get anyone high but a miracle for us.

After lots of field testing by 5 individuals with four different disease groups including yours, no one reported any "high" or clouding of mind. B. In case like #dementia it actually allowed us to think clearer, speak clearer than before.C. Parkinson's patients report easier walking.D. When I started looking into this I was able to get 18:1 extract which lead to best results.

@fcktheworld587 continueSince COVID that company went out of business. I grew my own 18:1 flower until it became more than I can handle.Now I can get 18:1 oil carts for about 35 a gram, use with any vape pen. I get them from a NorCal company via a friend. These work about 80% as well as straight extract.I will leave you with this: this improved my ability to speak to such a degree that my speech doc actually had me vaping in his office to record the effects he was so impressed.

@selea damned straight! Kidding aside I see the things linux is doing today, what coders are working on and I am highly proud to be part of it but also where it could take linux in the future. You are not having to fight the same battles as we did circa dotcom boom; your coders are facing all new ones and don't need the excess baggage having to fight for acceptance brings.

@alejandrobdn hey brother I get that in spades. Oddly I too am not much of a gamer and I completely missed the console wars. Only in my so-called retirement can I access these games I missed the first time..anyhow I think Sony is getting a clue and if you go to run a new game install now it asks you if you want to play straight away and update in background or do you want to wait.What really frosted my cookies was Sony was striving for cpu speed and yet the actual io system is very slow.

@alejandrobdn funnier yet is I had to do a double take when reading your response: it looks like I wrote it. We have a bmax gaming box with a 24 tb drive attached. Batocera runs all my gaming and Kodiak is our interface with the media on that drive. We wouldn't have it any other way..

@alejandrobdn your response, your setup, etc. was so close to mine, it made me wonder how many more of us are there? We have been on my homegrown streaming linux system since '99. Only switched to batocera last year I think. Thing is if you were a Linux advocate back in 99 or so you got used to being odd man out. When we would try to explain why we don't have cable, people would conclude we were poor; that we had a superior system never occurred to them. Their eyes would glaze over...

@fcktheworld587 you know crappy and illegally long work hours, bosses who contact you at night and on the weekends, etc. Is this the sort of thing you are referring to? If so then let me ask: what is there to say about a job which let's you use your favorite skill (engineering) and if you really love something you do it all you are allowed to. Thus 70 hour workweek sounds bad to you but if I am allowed 70 hours to do what I was born to do, the time isn't long enough.
