Ja, ich verstehe den Wunsch ins CCH zurückzukehren, ja ich vermisse es auch, sehr!Aber dieser Wunsch ins CCH zurückzukehren hatte halt immer was von "sollen halt weniger Leute kommen, ich und meine Freunde werden schon irgendwie Tickets kriegen, Rest ist egal, Hauptsache alles ist wie früher"und das ist halt vorsichtig gesagt eher gar nicht so geil.

Ich hoffe sehr dass man sich da irgendwas überlegt hat und es nicht wirklich einfach eine schulterzuckende "sollen halt weniger Leute kommen" Haltung ist.Aber ich bin nicht sehr optimistisch.Es muss nicht immer alles um jeden Preis wie früher sein. Wirklich nicht. Man kann sich mal auch an was neues gewöhnen.

Ehrlich. Ich werd' mich im CCH nicht besonders toll fühlen wenn ich weiß dass ne Menge Leute die in den letzten Jahren dazu gekommen und wertvolles beigetragen haben jetzt leiderleider draußen bleiben müssen.Aber ich vermute mal für manche gilt da aus den Augen aus dem Sinn. Dieser Vergleich ist jetzt gar keine explizite Kritik an der Entscheidung, sondern auch generell an denen die in den letzten Jahren immer zurück nach Hamburg wollten und auf "das ist aber kleiner" mit ner Art Schulterzucken oder "dann sollen halt weniger kommen" geantwortet haben.Wer? Ich suche als Freelancerin nach kleinen, idealerweise zeitlich begrenzten Aufträgen.Mein Fokus liegt auf Python- und Django-Entwicklung, ich beschäftige mich aber auch gerne mit Videoschnitt, 3D-Druck, Reverse Engineering und Microcontroller-Programmierung.Größere oder zeitlich nicht so begrenzte Dinge sind zeitlich etwas schwieriger aber wenn ihr euch nicht sicher seit ob ein Projekt zu meiner Beschreibung passt, meldet euch gern trotzdem mal :)Gerne Boost!

I find it weird when leftist or even anarchist people argue against mastodon with arguments like "you'll have to trust your admin" and other kinds of weird distrust arguments that could just as easily be applied to mutual aid and community projects of any kind.

Yeah. I need to trust an admin, someone *from a community i belong to*. That's better than trusting a company. Yes, of course it can go wrong – but that's a risk with every community project, always, digital or not. So should we never try to do things in a commuity or what? o.O

Hot Take: The people who argue like this probably use twitter in the worst possible way, trying to "win" at it every day through arguments and "owns". To them community is whoever has the same enemy as them on a given day, and they will turn their back on people in a heartbeat. They don't want to trust anyone because they can't be trusted themselves – and because they know their behavior is only really "welcome" on twitter.

If you think the philosophy behind #TheBadSpace makes sense, may i suggest you simply disable federation on your server.It seems to come from a desire to make a space safe by overblocking everything that could even be remotely dangerous. This is not how safety works. If you really think that's how it needs to be, you should invert the entire process and manually vet which instances you *do* want to federate with.
