@joel @Mehrad exactly, but it depends on how the distribution sets it up by default. For example, opensuse comes with flatpak as root/system by default. You have to run it with `- -user` to make it run under your user ID.

Go read this: http://ascii.textfiles.com/archives/5509 and the discussion in here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/125z4kt/the_impact_of_discord_on_data_archiving/Nothing will be preserved when discord dies. Nothing is publicly searchable on a discord server and forcing people to create an account just to find something useful defeats the purpose of a "community" in there. Please create/use forums and make them publicly available if you care for users.
