@Gina apologies for the overly-specific question. My broader intent here was skew in availability of food types across foods with similar shelf life and nutritional value. One of my motivations to do free software is to map and process this kind of data.

@Matter thanks for the heads-up. I had gotten the story link from a web alert on "nutrition app" news articles, and I didn't realize that the link was a politician's website. Toot deleted!

@JohanEmpa @matt I wonder if the feature of paper or electronic price tags is generic enough for Openstreetmap to include it as an attribute on retail locations.

@matt @Gina @JohanEmpa Admittedly, the level of detail for price tags on shelves, tables, and coolers is more of an indoor mapping exercise. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Indoor/use_cases#Retail_StoreBut one use could be that price tags "play an important role in defining what a particular site or area really looks like," if I may borrow that reasoning from https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:advertising .For example, there's the animated=digital_prices tag used to tag the advertising signs and kiosks outside gas stations. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:animated
