@historyofpunkrock I liked the Sex Pistols, but I LOVED Public Image Ltd, and Keith was the main reason. Steve Jones did become a very good guitarist, but Keith was a virtuoso right out of the gate. Truly one of a kind.

@Nonilex She's likely one of the many who fled to South Africa (in her case, as a child) when white minority rule ended in (what was then) Rhodesia, and Mugabe came to power. These expats are South Africa's equivalent of the right-wing Cuban expats in Florida...fifty years later, they're still enraged that Mugabe confiscated "their" property. Most of these people are even more racist than the Afrikaners, which is no doubt why Trump and Musk are fast-tracking them for US citizenship.

@historyofpunkrock Choosing between the children…an impossible task. The Ramones, GenX, and Blondie were the most enjoyable (at least to me), but Crass, The Clash, and Patti Smith were the most important. And DEVO was in a category by itself. I give up.
