We haven't had #hulu before, but we just finished #thehandmaidstale up to season 3. Seriously!? I have to wait until the Summer to watch more? This is bullshit. It's seriously the most compelling reason to be distracted that I've seen in a long time. I might even like it better than #breakingbad.

@normandc Yes, a wold without murderers, liars, thieves, etc... claiming to be a "Government" would be so much better.

@normandc That's how it woks currently. The "Government" has the biggest guns and is full of war lords.... Has serfs and indentured servants.... Etc......

@normandc Look at how it works now, having murderers in charge isn't exactly awesome.

@normandc (one of two) I apologize about the late reply. I have literally been in another country for a week. As far as how would "It" work without the State, I am assuming that you are referring to "It" being the protection of the week against the strong?First of all, a "Government" has no obligation to protect its subjects from anyone. Police are there to apprehend and assist in the prosecution of those the State deems worthy of prosecution, not to protect anyone.

@normandc (two of two) Second of all, if you want to see a great example of how to be proactive and prevent violence, I would recommend checking out Detroit Threat Management. It particularly caters to low income individuals and families and has helped to curb true crime in the area.If the State no longer had the monopoly on violence that it does, it's hard telling what other innovative solutions other people could come up with.http://threatmanagementcenter.com/https://tomwoods.com/ep-597-can-the-private-sector-protect-against-crime-this-case-study-will-blow-your-mind/

@normandc (one of two) Why would a government be needed for people to have roads, health care, and education? In an age when anyone could literally learn anything on the internet, it is safe to assume that schools will be seen as a novelty in the very near future.Getting the State involved in "Health Care" has done nothing but made all medical services more expensive. I suggest looking into this https://www.dpcare.org/about1-ccz5 It is the old fashioned model of paying your doctor directly.

@normandc (two of three I guess I lied)The problem with health care in this country is "Health Insurance" (both public and private) putting a 3rd party in between you and the people that provide a service to you does nothing but make it more expensive. Consider this intellectual exercise about paying for food in a similar manner. https://mises.org/library/suppose-there-were-food-insuranceAs far as roads go, I don't see the issue. The free market will provide infrastructure as it is needed.

@normandc (three of three) Do you really think that if the State did not exist, people would just stay where they were and wish that there where some way to get from point A to point B? It stands to reason, given the demand for travel, that as roads are needed, the free market would provide them. There would be no 3rd party in between those paying for the service and those providing the service(and sucking the money off into other programs), so the funding model would be extremely affordable.
