@xkcd Every Designers dream to build the ultimate faucet, just ends up adding one more design we need to remember how to operate :)

The Long Weekend #hack is done. I have a tiny mastodon crawler looking for discussions around #Chrome and #ChromeOS and it puts it on this page. For now this is manually updated, but I plan to automate it. The styling is really crappy if there is a way to do twitter like embeds directly from #Mastodon, let me know.https://www.chromedevice.com/updates/mastodonThis is not terribly useful at this point, but I got a crash course in Mastodon public APIs.

Learnt something today. Apparently different #Mastodon servers have different character limits in the post. I wish I knew before I selected the server I picked. On one hand I don't want to leave ioc.exchange because @seb is a kickass admin of this one... but on the other hand I could have used more characters :)

@seb Thank you :) infosec has 11K characters I found out and I saw their folks post long threads which would be nice here as well.

@ruud BTW looking at the source, its odd that the code explicitly published the code to the web. I don't think it had to.... is there any reason to do so ? Or is the goal to socialize this attack engine broadly to get others to use it ?@jerry

This is rare, but I'm noticing Long Term Release #Stable version of #ChromeOS is flipping between #M96 and #M102. This is happening across multiple boards as well.https://www.chromedevice.com/updates/nocturne

@kevinctofel what is odd is that versions are not changing as they are flipping. If this was a security patch related issue, I would have expected new binaries to be pushed. I'll contact my Google contacts if this happens once more. This feels odd :)

@kevinctofel @lindsaykwardell I think more importantly the fact that so many different manufacturers are building Chromebooks is a success for ChromeOS. Google is not known for its hardware... but there are manufacturers who can build and distribute great hardware worldwide who are now shipping Chromebooks.

Very disappointed to see #Lastpass trending. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2022/12/lastpass-says-hackers-have-obtained-vault-data-and-a-wealth-of-customer-info/https://www.blogofy.com/

#blogofy is significantly faster now. The tool now shows proper account names on the left. The cost to run it had sky rocketed a bit. Not because of the crawler, but because of the architecture I picked for doing the data analysis. Changed most of that over the weekend.I discovered @WPalant as an interesting account to follow while I was looking up writers talking about LastPass hack.https://www.blogofy.com/tag/lastpass
