@m2m I stopped using Alfred a while back when I realized that spotlight is fine for me. Thanksfully, after updating both of my laptops, I’m not having the issues JP saw. @heymarkreeves @jp

I spent most of yesterday getting my Linux machine to a point where it is useful on a daily basis. It was the most fun I’ve had with tech in quite a while. While I don’t know if it will become my daily driver yet, for a lot of reasons, I love how far I’ve gotten with it so far.

It’s the end of my 3rd week working remotely again and I’m loving it but my wrists aren’t. My Nuphy keyboard just can’t keep up when I’m on it 8 hours a day.Thankfully we get a generous sign-on bonus for office equipment. I used part of mine to order a Kinesis Advantage 360 keyboard. It checks the most boxes and, though there will be a learning curve, I’m looking forward to it.

It isn't that Linux is "better" when I say I enjoy it. It's just that the quality of MacOS has gone so far down that the issues with Linux are no longer any worse than the issues with Mac.Of course this doesn't apply to app availability but, for the core OSes it is very much the case these days.

I went back to trying to get Ubunutu 25.10 working on my Framework machine. At this point I’ve given up… it’s just too buggy. For everything I fix I find something else that just doen’t work.I’m honestly to the point where Apple works well enough for me that I’m thinking of selling the Framework laptop. I really don’t have a use case for it anymore.

@nicholas It is what it is. For what it’s worth, Fedora worked fine… I’m just spending all my time on that machine playing with distros rather than doing anything with it.
