I should probably introduce myself insted of clumsily diving right into conversation. I’m a hardware engineer and terminal goofball finding social media alts to Parrot. I like to tinker with a lot of different things in terms of electronics, firmware, and fabrication of circuits operating from DC to Ghz (usually Mhz though). Please forgive my initial clumsiness with #Mastodon. I like security topics, but I’m more of a side-channel pirate than some kind of actual hacker.

Neighbors stealing stuff from my porch is really bothering me. Sure, I’m setting up a PO box, but like, ill still have to wait in a long line if I get anything more than a tiny package.I have cameras and like, that’s not really stopping them, I guess i can just like, deploy oodles of decoy packages everywhere. Just boxes full of rocks or bricks that look like they have a cell phone in tem or w/e.Ugh they stole stuff i needed for school I am so hopping mad. What will they even do with that?!

I think I’ll write a message to my other neighbors and like, let them know a box of rocks of some size will basically be at their door but if they open it, just close it up and put it back or on another porch. That way the neighbor-thieves don’t just like, figure out its only me, yeah?

I think I print out these battery warning labels and place them on the packaging, making them appear to contain electronics. Maybe i can convince a retail tech place to let me have boxes with like, the Dell logo on it, and put in a cinder block.

Grr. I was just about to fall asleep too before this further theft nonsense riled me up. I cannot even write properly. Gonna try sleep again now that I’ve ranted. How do you stop porch pirates? @Hyolobrika @vantablack if you grew breasts as a side effect of your genes or prescribed drugs (as can happen to men who suffer prostate cancer), would it be fair to say that any potential discomfort a man might have with said breasts is medical or cosmetic in nature? Should a doctor help affirm your gender and remove the unwanted secondary sexual characteristic associated with women that causes you personal distress? Would you wear bras or a binder? Why?I mean, not to mention asshole dudes would rag on you for having breasts, yeah? Socially that might be jarring, isolating you from your peers and all?

@Tilopa the rhetoric from the right seems to equate words like agenda with just wanting to stay alive. Having someone not enforce tight gender roles is projected as the same as proselytizing or “spreading” being gay or trans somehow.Its absurd. If a trans person being in public can “cause” such an effect then it would be equally true that a faint suggestion that its ok to be cis would change their mind. But it doesnt. Social contagion is bullshit for the same reason conversion therapy doesnt work. You literally cant make people not be themselves with propaganda or even extended, violent progroms.
