My current desktop #linux philosophy is wayland, pipewire, flatpak (no snap please). Everything else I’m happy to mix and try.Where are you drawing your boundaries?

@seb Wayland or even X11 if we can get fractional scaling in x11Pipewire -100% for audio No strong opinions on init systems. Flatpaks for GUI applications and homebrew currently for cli tooling. Open to immutable distros in the future as well

@seb openrc, X, alsa/jack, distro packages or source only at the moment. I assume Wayland will become part of it in time, at least on the machine running Plasma, and I'm getting ready to (try to) move to pipewire

@seb Plasma 5.27 Wayland, mixed Flatpak/RPM software, SystemD, Pipewire. Wanted to like nix package manager but too many small issues here and there. But I think it is the future for system package manager.
