One Twitter feature I *clearly* miss here on mastodon is restricting people's ability to reply to a post. That was an absolutely killer feature on Twitter and I very much want it.

@simon @hmans oh yeah that makes sense. I ultimately don't mind a whole lot -- it reduces noise. and I can still see them when I view the post directly, which is a fine workaround. it lets me engage with engagement when I am feeling it.

is there an accessibility tool for windows that will allow me to run some global process that will read all text on screen and allow me to search it? I'm dealing with increasing cognitive issues where when faced with a wall of text I cannot find something I am looking for because my eyes jump around and I can't focus. I feel like this kind of thing should be software that exists.

the worst part is that you can still get good info if you go to youtube. maybe. at least you know someone tried the product when you see them using it. but were they paid to say good things? is there an incentive there for them to be positive you don't know about? are they truthful? sorry, can't know that
