@TechConnectify I finally deleted both of my accounts today after the whole... Flynn/Ali Alexander thing.But he has been playing with the system hardcare. A few examples:I rarely get recommendations on my timeline but 'randomly' got this bs under 'tech personalities' when elon was drooling over it.

@atomicpoet I'd like to see more organizations go all in. the vibe i am getting is organizations are LESS worried about doing the right thing or supporting a worthy cause... and more concerned that the migrations will hurt their reach and influence.This is why, I imagine, you see so many people just reposting their tweets here instead of making original content.

@lowqualityfacts after my account was deleted in early 2021 for a joke… i made a new account. This twitter account was used from early 2021 to mid-December of 2022.At the time of deletion i had about 186 followers.Since then i have made over 190 followers on mastodon, had better conversations, and a better, less negative/toxic experience.Twitter is almost nothing but clapbacks and snappy criticisms. Its culture is nothing i miss, personally.

@stux youre not wrong. I actually always cite .art as how NOT to run a mastodon instance. To their credit, they replied to my post and were very courteous.But the kind of people they courted, who were present in their replies… exemplified the kind of culture they were creating and its a hideous thing:I was being snarky and commented that their policy of banning whole instances for single-user problems was like… shutting down all of deviantart because a posted once.Then this brain trust…

@iotar this is literally THE reason that the habit of governments to attempt to bend and break accountability by putting hired guns above the law… is extremely dangerous. Not just to the soul of a nation, but to it’s very existence. Your example, Blackwater, is a great example. Theyre directly analogous. These days Erik Prince is attempting to gain control over US politics through different means (espionage within the country’s own borders)
