@chemelia i get this vibe a *lot* on mastodon - and the recent meta drama seems to shine a bit more light on iti don't get it browsing the TL on my akkoma alt - at worst people are just doing their own thing with each other and i'm too distracted to keep up or join in at that moment (or the subject matter is uninteresting to me)it really seems to be a cultural divide between there and the "always be ready to block for any reason" we see around here

kinda want to get away from Mastodon entirely but not fedidoes anyone have any recommendations for a server? :boost_ok: - Akkoma preferred, upstream Pleroma OK, please no *key- must federate with hellsite, queer.party, eldritch.cafe, kolektiva and mastodon.lol- should federate with icosahedron.website, friend.camp, merveilles.town and the 2 mastodon flagships- should ideally federate with disqordia and xenofemme(there are others i need but if these are federated those should be fine)

@john once you start thinking about male gaze in fine art there's no clear end to your ability to question which is which with no satisfactory universal answerthen there's anatomical and medical stuff that might warrant a CW just because it's often sensitive for the people involved or so explicit that it's very blatant to everyone who has line of sight with your screen that you're looking at genitals or whatever

sci-fi blaster sort of gun that has glowy bits and makes a startup whine before the action begins and it looks just like a fancy energy weapon charging upbut according to the lore it's actually just connecting to the server to make sure you've got Authenticated Official ammo loaded, the physical weapon would otherwise be perfectly capable of firing from cold immediately
