       @dell I was led to believe that "academic freedom" was about being able to publish unpopular ideas in the face of political repression.        @stevenroose @dell you're not wrong. zionists wouldn't have an obvious place to return to. but what if they did? would the zionists do it?let's say... the US gave them the southern portion of texas (the area encompassed by corpus christi, laredo, and brownsville), and used the $4B/yr for relocation expenses for 10 years for every israeli who wanted to resettle in the new homeland, after which all aid to israel in palestine is cut off, would the zionists do it? would they take advantage of the offer to create a safe homeland for jews? what about florida (with the same conditions)?what are your thoughts?
