@absturztaube If I wasn't opposed to the reality of it, it would be a good idea for every app to have a 'swears per minute' counter. If the mic detects beyond a threshold number of "what the fuck", "fucking piece of shit", "for FUCK sake", etc during interaction the dev receives an email, or maybe an electric shock.

@gondola Sitting in the shadow of a tree at least a hundred years old, the sounds of a bubbling brook and distant calls of birds your only soundtrack. @eriner I thought the point was that users have full control over what they see and don't, but I see thats not popular now. I block instances and users regularly for one reason or another, I don't like being told what I can or cannot see.

Any law that says all vehicles must be electric is a method of control. You can store 50K gallons of gas if you wanted to, you cannot feasibly store the same amount of energy as a battery. Even if you could, electric vehicles chargers could be programmed to reject "unofficial" power sources. Batteries have a limited lifespan too.If someone can control where where you go, you're on a leash. If someone can control what you say, they can control what you think.

I'm moving. It has become apparent that this instance is blocking others. As a preservationist strategy I understand it, but it's still regrettable.I believe in giving the power to the individual user to blocks any user or instance that troubles them (and I have done so), but I don't agree to being denied access to information.I will be at @butterdog@poa.st for the time being. I worked at a supermarket in my teens with a guy who was a pathological liar, he was there on a 'work training' project funded by the government.He came into work one Monday with a spot on his forehead, not unusual as everyone was pretty young. He pulled me to one side and told me that he had been abseiling that weekend and had dropped to the mouth of a cave when a snake jumped at his face and bit him. I asked why there was only one 'bite' mark, and he said it was a really, really old snake 🐍
