I don't know how people can binge anime so easily. ever since I started reading manga regularly, it's so hard to go back to watching anime because it takes *so long* to get through. a 20-minute anime episode is a handful of chapters at best; I can through that much in half the time if I'm reading manga, and it's much less of a commitment compared to watching anime; I can whip out my phone and get through a chapter or two pretty much anywhere without needing headphones.

@joel yeah, fight scenes in mangas are kinda easy to get lost in. (see also: King Crimson)its also nice to see everything in color; given just a B&W image, I always imagine that characters either have blonde, black, or light-/dark-gray hair/eyes/etc., so it always baffles me when they turn out to have wildly different colors than I imagined :BlobCatGoogly:

I think the most unexpected aspect of upgrading to my HD 600s is that I can actually understand the lyrics now. for some reason, with my Soundmagic earbuds, I couldn't understand *anything* of the words in a song, but I can get a pretty good idea of what most people are singing now. it's really weird.

@enigmatico outside of convenience and marketing, I feel like space might be a reason as well. a proper gaming PC usually calls for a dedicated desk and chair, which can take a decent chunk of space. along with the hassle of setup, especially if the user is unfamiliar with PC gaming, a console can just be tucked away in an entertainment center without taking up additional space.

@enigmatico the additional space that a gaming PC takes up can also be an eyesore if care isn't taken into making the area look nice. you can just plop a console anywhere that it fits and it'll look unobtrusive at worst.

any vinyl collectors here? I recently started getting into collecting CDs, but with vinyls being so cheap these days, it almost feels like it would be better to collect vinyl instead. I really like all the extra stuff that comes with buying music physically, and I would love to have a dedicated spot in my room for listening to music.I'd love to hear your experiences and any cautionary tales you might have in regards to vinyl collection!

@Stellar yeah, I think I've heard that paying for a used vinyl player is kinda risky unless you already know how to fix them or know for a fact that it's in good condition. is replacing the belt hard to do?
