@Synclair I don't know about your medical system but a lot of y'all act really dumb, so that may be the reason you're so high up the stats. Throwing "corona parties" to see if the shit's real, categorically refusing to wear masks, even in crowded places, some don't even recognize the fact that the virus exists or that it can spread...

@ralismark they add a lot of extra steps for stuff that was already easy.You need to have an account on every software forge that uses PRs, create a fork, work on it, send a PR. The maintainer has to clone your fork, check it and accept the PR.With patches you only need an email address (which you already have — no extra accounts) and a local copy of the repository. The maintainer only needs to run a command to apply your patch to the repository.

Snap, Flatpak and AppImage are a blight upon this Earth.And no, they are not "super-duper" just cause you can easily install Spotify (or any other proprietary crapware) on any GNU/Linux distro.

I used to frown everytime I heard someone was pirating some software or music or whatever. Now... let's just say that thanks to the GNU project, libgen and some kind friends that like to share, I've had access to so many resources that I changed my mind. Fuck intelectual property. @lwriemen good stuff, thanks!I'm dual booting Fedora on the machine I use for work, but it seems like I'll have to develop software for Windows servers so there's a very slim chance I could get away with doing work outside of Windows+Visual Studio.I'll be on the lookout for freer alternatives, but this is my first job so it's pretty hard to be picky and be picked if I have no "professional experience".
