@Nonilex This seems like good news I think — I’d assume some trump voters among the plaintiff companies, so this is further evidence of lack of confidence & recognition that he’s taking things too far. I hope more plaintiff companies join this lawsuit!Ps—Never heard of this court before.

@mls14 And in addition to the $6000 newborn tax credit, Harris wanted to bring back the expanded annual child tax credit we had during the pandemic that raised millions of children out of poverty (but the Republicans refused to extend). That would have allowed a $3600 tax credit per child for ages 1-6 and then $3000 each for kids older than 6. As usual trump is the cheapskate.@lucybeahere @TonyStark

@stux Reminds me of back in the mists of time when I was a non driving “militant” pedestrian in a large city. Each day I’d walk to & from work crossing numerous crowded intersections. My work necessitated that I carry a briefcase for files etc — I chose a Samsonite* case, so I could “accidentally” bump it into cars in my path in the crosswalk. Very satisfying!*Vintage Samsonite was a hard shell case advertised as being flung from a car only to have an elephant step on it.

@Nonilex Sadly it flew in 2020 when Barr used it to request states’ National Guards to protect Federal property in DC from protesters (4 states refused). BUT DC isn’t a state (tho’ it has its own Guard).California IS and its governor said NO to calling up the Guard.I’d expect CA AG Bonta is working on a filing to challenge this. Not sure what court would be first. Bottom line-This is a naked play to get the tax cut for billionaires passed & label any opponent as pro-lawlessness.

@stux I read yesterday that a former Bush official said the flagpole may prevent the helicopter from landing on the South lawn. So if the helicopter lands elsewhere, the president would have the added risk (& effort) of walking a greater distance—probably solved by firing up the gas-guzzling limo.In any other (competent) administration I’d say that of course the helicopter landing site was considered, but …

@stux Let me be more specific: I never KNOWINGLY use #AI #LLM etc.I don’t need to—I have vocabulary, knowledge & memory.BUT I’m not very technologically savvy, so who knows. 🤷🏼♀️For example I’d swear recent iOS autocomplete/correct is deliberately inserting typos/errors for me to correct so it can “learn” from me. (Or maybe I’m paranoid or just that bad at typing.)
