       Does anyone else have a Rails controller to dynamically generate a service worker? Am I a monster?

       @james no, I didn’t want to stretch the budget for a remote conference. I miss it though, and people seem enthusiastic about it.I’ve never liked Discord because it feels chaotic to me (well, that and the login experience). It sounds like it’s being used to good effect here, though. Care to share a little about that?

       @james RVM. Set it up years ago and I never have to think about it.

       @james I don't see this option on ruby.social. Is this a thing that's easy to implement?https://mastodon.social/@jynersolives/109279404467704445

       @james That's good to know, but I don't think it's the feature described in the post.I read in another post that I can't find that it's a recent feature that hasn't made it onto all instances yet. Checking github, it looks like the feature was merged after the most recent release, so maybe it's only available to instances running off main right now.https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/18809https://mastodon.social/@pixelfed/102409706046462156

       @kwerle apparently some instances let you follow hashtags, but r.s doesn’t seem to have that feature yet AFAICT.

       @james From #ruby people tweeting about it when you started it up (I think). I joined in 2018, but haven't been super active because I didn't have a lot of connections on here before the current influx.

       @Ricardus That looks cool, and a bit cheaper than some other kits I've seen. Can't wait to see how it turns out!

       @kyle Dunkel is a personal fave! I don't see a lot of them around, but KC Bier Co makes a good one here in KC.

       @Ricardus When I worked at a recording studio, we got a brand new Pro Tools HD rig. It had some pops, so I did some troubleshooting and diagnosed that one of the devices had a bad word clock output out of the box.I was an intern, and my bosses thought that the problem I described was pretty unlikely, so they brought in a tech who told them the same thing I did.The return process was pretty smooth that time too, once my bosses actually believed it was broken.
