       I'm looking into solar panels and wondering, do they actually make sense financially? Or only because climate?I got a quote for 2 kW at $3.87 per watt, which is a fine price; but that'll break even in 17 years. Without the state and federal incentives, it would break even in 25 years, just when the warranty runs out.A 10 kWh battery starts at $16,050. They don't recommend batteries in the city. I wish I could join a microgrid.Looking for #advice #SolarPanels

       Today we learned:--That newbie knows what a bathtub is for and does not want any thank you--That newbie has the catlike ability to become extreeeemely heavy when she does not want any thank you--That I am so the boss of her--That, although she looks like a slink, not a floof, she has a very dense, fluffy, insulating undercoat.        @futurebird There's a non-fiction book club going on this year under the hashtag #PolymathReadingChallenge The originator chose a list of topics. Each reader chooses their own book for each topic and reads and posts about them in whatever order they choose. So, very uncoordinated! But fun!
