@stux agreed! Also in Italy (my home country) there is a digital system that authenticate people for all different things, including health service claims. It wouldn’t be difficult to extend this to voting also.

@stux @phillycodehound @pixelfed I joined using the “Login with Mastodon” option, but after confirming the accounts I wanted to follow, it asked me again for the email and for a password. I wasn’t expecting that, given that I decided to “Login with Mastodon” and I gave the credentials of my mstdn.social account already.

@stux You are absolutely right. And this comes from someone who used to live in Europe and moved to the U.S. many years ago because in love of that country. Nowadays I feel ashamed to be here and I keep thinking of my next step. My home country is not appealing anymore either (same type of government), so I feel stateless (which is not a good feeling).

@stux wait this could be the thing that saves America. There is no way to remove Trump before the end of his term. Except if suddenly the composition of the house and senate changes and impeachment can be brought to completion. What if Musk creates a new party, it throws money at it and some republicans in the house and senate switch side, go with him, and support impeachment and removal of Trump?
