       I just discovered https://codeberg.org, a free-to-use and open-for-registration #Gitea instance run by the German non-profit organisation #Codeberg e.V. – @codeberg is “dedicated to build and maintain supporting infrastructure for the creation, collection, dissemination, and archiving of Free and Open Source Software”. Nice Github and Gitlab alternative :)

       @kravietz Oh dear. They are telling me my preferred content language HTTP request header is all time _unique_. Let that sink in. I guess all my paranoia browser addons are useless if I let my browser tell websites that I speak German, British English, American English, and French, in a certain order of preference (no idea why I did that in the first place). 🤦‍♂️ Also, media devices are unique (understandable). Fonts are pretty bad. Oh dear. I guess that would mean disabling JS by default again.

       I had 824 tabs open in Firefox Mobile on my Android smartphone. Unsurprisingly, this made it pretty unresponsive and unusable. Today I opened them all on my laptop&#39;s Firefox via Firefox Sync, then exported all tab&#39;s URLs to a file using the FoxyTab extension. And then I closed all tabs.A small step for mankind, but a big step for someone who is bad in closing tabs.

       @djsumdog Yep I do the same with Tree Style Tab. I use a separate Firefox profile though, on a separate workspace, just for all those chat and social media applications.To be honest I also rarely look at the tab URLs that I backup. But it feels good to have them, you know, just in case 😬.

       @kirschwipfel You are right that it would be better.I was assuming, given @Chaos_99 mentioned Keepass, that they were familiar with this software and its import functionality, and so maybe the workaround I presented would be of technical interest.

       @strypey @wolftune As far as I can tell, Comradery lets supporters choose individually how much they want to give to a creator, so pretty much standard as with Patreon, Liberapay, etc.Snowdrift uses a crowdmatching algorithm where every supporter of a project pays the same amount, which increases with the number of supporters the project has. I did not understand on Snowdrift&#39;s website how the amount is exactly computed. A supporter can set a limit though.

       Thesis: If F-Droid would be pre-installed on Android, more people would use free software?Could Google or generally smartphone vendors be legally forced to ask users if they want to install F-Droid, just like Microsoft has been forced to let the user choose their browser?        @djoerd Very cool, I&#39;d thought that Rust&#39;s learning curve would be too steep for these use cases. Excellent that it is getting used more and more :)A comparison to Julia would be interesting, because I heard that it is another fresh player for scientific software.
