@foone It would be interesting project to have some camera or capturing device taking screen, doing recognition, matching disk filenames and telling gotek/qemu to swap disks.

@fuxoft Is that even possible? Whatever plugin doing that would need to visit the link and detect paywall (hard and not reliable). Database of paywalled domains would not work either as some sites only paywall subset of their content. Would be nice if sites sent paywall flag in HEAD response as header but I guess that (and detecting paywall programmatically in general) is against their strategy of annoying you so much so you decide to chip in.

I am not doing #adventofcode this year, at least not now. Will spend advent time with my family instead.

@foone Sounds like usual corporate “lets dig a tunnel from both sides and meet in middle” project…

@fuxoft I hate that too. and/or in ruby are not logical and/or but logical composition. Point of their existence is to be able to express control flow in an expression.

Colleague of mine just made me spit my morning coffee out. Told me that Atlassian offers Jira free for up to 10 users and that he uses that to run his family chores and vacations. Poor kids and wife, in corp you can at least leave. #jira #agile #family

@foone SunPro and SunSoft were early Sun Microsystems subsidiaries. See msun https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-src/blob/main/lib/msun/src/s_tan.c or https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-src/blob/main/lib/msun/src/e_sinh.c . Probably just name clash? That’s why compiler variable was SUNPRO_CC.

behold, my #haiku #haikuos panasonic let’s note. I call it Haikubook. I bought this little notebook that is not made anymore from my first salary here in #japan. It is not super powerful but been my workhorse for couple of years. Recently I sold/donated most of my useless modern hardware but kept this and made it my bare metal Haiku machine. It is surprising how well Haiku runs on it, incl. touchscreen and wifi card.

@publicvoit To be honest - not that other (proprietary) services are any better. I think multiway realtime sync is just very hard problem and while it might look convenient I prefer less convenient manual induced sync where I exactly know whats happening.

Where do you guys host static website? I used to have mine on Github but I am trying to stop using it. I did not find good replacement as e.g. @Codeberg seems not really being a place for such personal stuff. I wish they added some paid "lone wolf hobbyist" tier with private repos and less strict license requirements as I don't really want open some of my side gigs from past that I still want githosted somewhere, also I don't want to selfhost and would rather pay someone for convenience.
