@gmcgath I've been saying for years that The Second Coming is the poem for this age. And Jackson Browne's "Before the Deluge" captures another aspect. On the surface, it's about a failed response to a coming eco-catastrophe. But every time I hear it, I think of libertarians and their failed response to coming tyranny.

The @indie_news account just appeared and made 77 posts today, all of which appear to be reposts of pro-Russia Telegram channels. Given the nature of its content and its total lack of identification and hence verifiability, I assume it is a Russian disinformation outfit. I'm going to block and report, though I suspect it'll be allowed to stay.

Sigh, another spammer: MahmoudsFamily10. This one is a patent fraud, not to mention a vicious spammer. Notice that its posts (almost?) always tag a random non-liberdon account and are highly repetitive and designed to attack the feelz of the foolish and ignorant. Not to mention linking a gofundme. It showed up at the same time as indie_news. Coincidence? Maybe. Anyway, also blocked and reported.

@megatronicthronbanks @fribbledom Yep. Sometimes a debugger is the way to go, but these days (55 years programmiing), I just stick in some printfs. Half the time, just figuring out what to print solves my problem.....

@Buster6775 I agree that libertarianism is way too focused on liberty, forgetting that liberty without responsibility is basically just an adolescent wet dream. In the real world, no person--or society--can have liberty without responsibility; soon enough reality will smack down that sort of foolishness.

@SiRrogueKnight I do use a smart phone but primarily as a router for my home network--it's cheaper than a regular phone and Internet connection. But I assume that it can be compromised at any time and so put nothing on it I want private.
