@thorthenorseman It's been a while since I used VirtualBox on a mac but a few years ago this improved performance considerably. Add this to the kernel arguments of the box and restart it:notsc divider=10I think you can do that on Mint by adding it to theGRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT variable defined in /etc/default/grub and running update-grub2

@cdmnky Greggs is a bakery chain, known for it's sausage rolls and various other savoury pastries. It's not the best food in the world or anything but it's pretty good for the price, and there are a lot of them so you're never that far away from one.

@cdmnky I imagine they're a bit different to bakeries outside of the UK, much bigger focus on savoury rather than sweet items.

@gargron For me it was "Underneath the Waves" on either a Kerrang! or Metal Hammer CD.Back then I wasn't on the internet, if I wanted to listen to something I had to buy it, or borrow it from a friend. None of my friends had the album, and I had no money, so I didn't buy it.It took me until fairly recently to appreciate Devin's stuff.

@khaosgrille Maybe point them in the direction of the United Kingdom. Thousands of roundabouts, pretty much 0 tornados.

@clacke People might not use mIRC any more, but you don't even need a dedicated client any more with services like https://www.irccloud.com/I'm still using irssi but some of my less nerdy friends use IRCCloud.

@gargron Blixa and Mick. Blixa loves draping his arms off things.

@yarmo Sorry to say I got trapped by the shininess of Google Analytics when it was pretty new and thought it was pretty cool to see all the graphs. I've literally not looked at it for years now, and haven't updated the site for ages either. If I get time over the weekend I'll remove it from the site, then there'll be no cookies or anything at all. Hell, maybe I'll start posting to it or something?

@kura That guys feed is pretty yikes. The instance I'm on already blocks them, seems like a good idea to me 👍

@mjg59 That's how I first found out about you tbh, followed you on twitter pretty much straight after. I still wish more people in free software had your principles, it's getting better but there's a lot of nonsense still and insistence on "keeping politics out of it" etc.
