       I got myself a laser cutter, and my first project is designing a paper diorama of the "This is Fine" dog.Constraints:- must fit on A5 card stock (that's what I have lying around)- one single piece, folding only, no glue (because I like a challenge)- one-sided printing only (precise duplex is impossible on my printer)Still work in progress, but here's what I have so far, including all prototypes up to this point.

       Two months ago we had a technician install a new pump in our dishwasher after the old pump broke. He said that after 10 years the machine is probably nearing the end of its life.So we basically gave up on it when the dishwasher broke again over Christmas.But with a lot of trial and error, scouring sketchy sites for service manuals of compatible machines, and reading mildly related DIY forum posts, I found the faulty part, ordered a replacement, and installed it today. And now it works again!

       Prince of Persia was one of the very first computer games I ever played as a child.I still remember the blue 3.5" floppy with the red-and-white sticker onto which I had penciled "PRINCE".Yeah, that definitely was not a legit copy of the game 😬 I guess I owe @jmechner an apology.But I did order a (legit!) signed copy of his graphic novel memoir (https://www.jordanmechner.com/en/books/replay/), and I'm looking forward to getting it very much.So I hope he can forgive me 😀
