@plausible the API is not easy, and I need all in a CSV. I tried Postman for the API as recommended, but I can't get authorization to work. Is token the same as the API key?

@thor I wish we did a reform. There's no reason to not write "å" for everything. Noone says "og". Same for other words like "de" (they) which is pronunced "di". All 1st-graders make this "mistake", but they are right and the correct spelling is wrong.

@futurebird Fascists have always first and foremost been "against communism". The threat of communism was what brought the German establishment to go along with Hitler. It was what brought Franco to power in Spania. After WW2 the former nazis and collaborateur realigned in anti-communist groups. When anti-fascists in the 80s created "Rock against Racism", the nazis responded with "Rock against Communism". There are obviously valid criticisms of communism, but "anti-communism" only a thinly veiled cover for outright fascism and sometimes the raison d'etre for support for fascist politics.

Read someone claiming that "today's kids are the first native digital generation". As that was said about my generation as well, and I have my own kids now, that was somewhat surprising to me. On second thougt there's a merit to it. They are digital natives, but natives in a colonized space. The digital commons is closed off and hemmed in, the only skills they learn are the ones provided by the digital colonial masters and while they live their lives in the digital spaces, they have no control over it.

@ChrisMayLA6 really, you agree with this bullshit? Only a very sanitized version of Sweden's history will support this. Sweden always had a strong nationalist and racist bent to it's social democracy, including eradicating lots of its Sami culture, and unlike other European countries there never was any consequences for the Swedish Nazis after WW2, which means that Sweden has been a hotspot of Nazi activity since then. And you can't explain the rise in crime without looking at the dismantling of the welfare state in 00s and 10s. But, blame it on Arabs gangs and welfare tourism...@h4890

@futurebird historically the organized left invented propaganda (both the concept and the actual term) and built large organizations with it. I think the problem is that the left (even among leftist) is confused with liberalism and liberals abhor both propaganda and organizations. The actual left creates propaganda and doesn't shy away from it, but as liberal thought has hegemony in the leftist mainstream, you get this idea of propaganda being problematic. I guess this is an even larger issue in the US where 'liberal' somehow confusingly means leftwing.

@futurebird I think it's mostly media. And the police. The police will always tell you that crime is rising, because that means more funding for them. Mostly, they won't outright lie about, but they'll tweak statistics to show rising crime (=up from last year, but actually lower than any year before that).There's also the ting about the "good old days" (when you we're a kid and was shielded from the reality around you) when there was "less crime".
