@shadowfacts ohh, is that within a specific period? Like getting grouped daily? I don't get that many notifications a minute, so I'm seeing some spread out (2 favourites of the same post id, etc).

@shadowfacts ooooo, that makes sense.When I was thinking it, I was thinking grouped straight across. Just like you mention, my favs, etc are seperated by follow reqst, dms, etc. _^ I didn't notice it at first because I don't get enough to notice I guess. :D

@stux It's a mix of companies refusing to unlock before selling, and selling in bad faith (Apple instructs dozens of times that they need to release hardware before it changes hands, and it's not hard to do, even at scale), and Apple slavishly sticking to their policies with the companies fucking over the legitimate recyclers. I've been on the wrong end of this before too. Company disposes of equipment, but gives you a device to "help you out," but heaven forbid you ask them to not make it a paperweight.

There were #Nazi protestors at my kid's school today. I was told that when one sees Nazis protesting, it's best to just ignore them and not even give them the time of day. No. They are looking at every car passing by, and for every one that honks in support, they believe there are X many silent that are on their side, but too afraid to speak out. Don't let them think you are one of those siding with them. At minimum, roll down the window and tell them off. Let them know they are unwelcome. Don’t let them view your silence as a possible nazi ally. It’s low risk. It might encourage their persecution complex. It might make them feel uncomfortable. It’s the absolute minimum action you can take.Otherwise, you might as well be actively helping them.

@stux afiak federating with fb would mean anyone federating with that instance would also be federating with FB.So, if one wanted to block facebook, they’d have to also block instances federating with Facebook. And facebook just joining in would cause issues re: what they use that data for, beyond what a webscraper would do.
