@mmu_man oh man! I want to thank you sooooo much. I know you probably don't really think much of the help you gave me, but you managed to explain OOP to me in a way I understood. I eventually moved to Java away from C++, but I've found in the passed few years I fancy picking C/C++ back up on some older platforms like the Amiga.You helped me get me a really solid foundation for my career.I ended up going down the DevOps route and have been in/out of working as freelance and employment.

@lukedashjr Outside blockchain, SPAM is profitable to the people who send it.Inside blockchain SPAM is profitable to the people who mine it.I don't see any reason why a miner wouldn't want to mine SPAM. If someone is willing to pay for it then why turn that opportunity down?

@mmu_man I was trying to recall where I saw that bump and lines on picture 4 as I was convinced I knew what it was......then I remembered! Is it an Apple Machintosh LC or Performa, like a 475?The Performa 475 with an external CDROM was my first Apple machine. I loved it. I upgraded it to 32MB RAM and had a 1GB SCSI hard disk in it which were monster specs back in 1995.

They can do WTF they want and you can either like it or ignore it.You're not in control of what topics they cover with any of their accounts, regardless of the account name.To think otherwise is simply undeserved entitlement.

@shacker I've given up arguing with people over on Twitter about this.All they do is cherry pick small data sets to prove their denial right.Even if the Western world does manage to get a handle on this, the East most likely won't.I've come to the conclusion that we won't fix this. There is going to be famine, droughts, mass migration and war, most likely in the next 20 years. The best thing you can do now is to start preparing for this.

@shacker I think within 150 years we'll start to hear the following from right wing eco-fascists:"The planet can't support all of us, we need to take a serious look at who we let survive."...and running up to that point people will be watching the floods, fires and food shortages on social media, until it's someone recording them.

@shacker on that note, about 15 years ago I really wanted to be a good photographer. I enrolled in night school and learned all about photography.I learned what makes a good photograph, how to use a camera, about lenses, how to develop film etc.I also learned - I'm simply not a good photographer. I couldn't take a good picture. What was worse is I *new* my pictures weren't good and technically why they weren't good because of my studies.Some people just can't do it. I am one of them.

#Amstrad #CPC development environment is almost set up!I've got #VSCode, #z88dk, #cpcxfs and #ZEsarUX working together nicely with a Makefile to compile C code, create a disk and automatically launch the emulator with the disk inserted.I need to look at assembly next.#retro #retrodev
