why? Highly intelligent people are not typical of the population, and growing up only mixing with them is a very poor education in how to live. You become like an elite athlete that only knows how to whack a tennis ball and can't make a meal for yourself. It's toxic.

#melbourne the whole idea of the suburban rail loop is to connect people in cheap housing with places (universities for example). By starting at the wrong end (Cheltenham) it has become the reverse of that. It only carries rich people. #melbourne

@SeaFury one of my volunteer jobs is to advise young AI researchers. I set them the task of reading about Katalin Kariko (the joint inventor of mRNA vaccine) and how her University treated her. They basically threw her out onto the street because they did not like her direction of research. (Of course they were wrong).
