@couts Thank you! These follow lists for journalists are really helpful. A lot of what I did on Twitter was following #journalists. Glad to see so many coming over to Mastodon!

@shadowfacts Tusker is AMAZING. I’ve been using MetaText and love that app but with the dev’s recent announcement that they won’t be working on the app decided to try Tusker. It is FANTASTIC. I can save hashtag searches!! And create new lists!! And surf other instances’ timelines!! Wow! Excellent work. Thank you!

@brosandprose Average cost of a superbowl ad is $6 million. I am pretty sure there are better “Christian” ways to spend that money such as, oh I don’t know, feeding or housing those who can’t afford it. I mean, if you gave Jesus $6 mil, I highly doubt he would have spent it on a stupid advertisement promoting christo-fascism.

@BrodieOnLinux But a shift is happening. People are once again learning about the major downfall of corporate social media. Each time this story repeats, more people learn about the #FediVerse and the options within it. Switching over to decentralized platforms will take time but it is happening. And it will continue to be a steady trickle.

@anders @Colman I think you would have to turn off sync first right? Otherwise wouldn’t deleting it then sync via Obsidian Sync to your other devices? Either way, back up your vault first! Just copy it and save it in another location.

I have been using #ObsidianMD now for a couple of years and generally like it. I love plaintext and the file portability and the extent to which I can do almost anything with the app. HOWEVER, I've been toying with the idea of migrating to just using #AppleNotes. I already use Notes for all my personal stuff (Obsidian is primarily work and research). Would be great to have it all in a single, mobile-friendly app. Has anyone made the move from Obsidian —> Apple Notes? Thoughts?

@hyde Yes, I will concede that I have come to the same conclusion. Just for my workflow, Obsidian seems to work much better. I was hoping to get everything into a single app, but my work is very research focused and NOTHING comes close to Obsidian for that! I gave it a couple of days of playing around with Apple Notes and went running back to Obsidian. :blobcatcoffee:

@publicvoit How is a folder full of plain-text files locked in? I can take my folder of notes that I use in Obsidian and access them on any Markdown app or plaintext editor.
