Also in Österreich ist Dekagramm immer noch eine sehr gebräuchliche Gewichtsangabe. Verlangt man im Supermarkt 100 Gramm Wurst, gibt man sich sofort als deutsch zu erkennen 😉Sütterlin/Kurrent - ja das ist bei uns dann doch auch nicht mehr so üblich.

@xtaran@chaos.social already gave good advice.Another problem could be different graphics - e.g. switching from AMD to Nvidia. But you should still get a command prompt which enables you to fix it.Besides all that - I have done this multiple times and never experienced real problems. Most of the times it were boring Intel-CPU with integrated graphics machines.

In semi-related News... Nachdem ich endlich eine richtige PCIe SSD in der #uConsole habe, bin ich zum ersten Mal in diesem Jahrtausend ohne Laptop auf einer Messe.Ein Pi CM5 sollte schnell genug sein. Ein CrowView Note macht dann noch Tastaur/Monitor

Mit dem CrowView nur eher so mittel, aus mehreren Gründen. Man kann es zwar mit eiem einzelnen USB-C Kabel verwenden, dann funktioniert es sogar als Powerbank. Aber leider liefert es immer nur 5V, kein USB-PDBei einem Raspi ist das egal, der will eh 5V und braucht noch separate Video und USB Kabel für die Tastatur/Trackpad. Aber bei x86 Mini-PCs gibt das einen arg unnötigen Kabelsalat. Für manche Smartphones dürfte es aber ein gutes Setup sein.Power-in ist auch ein arg dünner Hohlstecker, die Bauqualität ist dem Preis entsprechend. Das CrowView ist eine super Idee, bräuchte aber gscheites USB-PD in und out.

Monitore ohne separates Stromkabel gibt es eigentlich viele. Daheim hab ich einen 15&quot;er MSI in der Preisregion von 90 Euro.Bei größeren Monitoren würde ich eher schauen ob die nicht als Stromquelle für den Rechner dienen können. Immer noch ein Kabel, der Strom geht halt in die andere Richtung.

Yeah, Mastodon seems to be quite demanding, even for small installs. I amrunning Friendina since 2019 and it also became quite demanding regarding RAM and database loads over time.For small installs snac or Gotosocial seem to be a more sensible choice.#fediverse #selfhosting #hosting
