@diegovsky It is fascinating to call me salty, when you have people in this thread threatening, calling me names, and what not .. I read the toilet paper, it grossly misrepresents a bunch of out of context quotes. I asked for what exactly was so egregious that has been done .. and still nothing.

There are licenses that's the OSI has classified as "OSI", but are clearly non-free software licenses. When people say "no politics" -- most often than not they mean "no off-topic garbage". In #FreeSoftware projects, that means .. we talk about software, and technical stuff -- not other crap, if you want to talk about other crap, you can do somewhere else. @WellsiteGeo GPLv2 was released in 1991, version 1 was released in 1989. The basis of which was based on the GNU Emacs General Public License (with similar terms used in other parts of GNU) from 1985.The GPL (any version) and ROMs are quite compatible, and have always been. The issue with TiVo was different, and @torvalds likes to ignore that fact (similar, in this thread where he ignores everything the SFC wrote or stated).@ghul @pkal
