I've added #Debian and #Gentoo. Eventually, I'll add little thumbnails by the distro's licensing info and a link to make it a bit smoother to download what you want.https://git.nixnet.xyz/Amolith/graphics/src/branch/master/btw%20i%20use%20___/

I was having dinner with Dad and he told me about this absolutely amazing new font from #RMIT that is designed from the ground up to help you remember things. It's called #SansForgetica. They broke some design principles so it takes more cognitive effort to read the text which helps you retain the information better and longer. They didn't break so many that it's impossible to read, however. It hits that sweet spot 😉 I know it's weird but I plan to give it a try!https://sansforgetica.rmit/

So the challenge for #BDLL this week is to either try Fedora 29 or go 100% command line: no GUI. 733t h4xx0r that I am, of course I have to go with the latter. Starting tomorrow, I will boot straight into a TTY. No games, no browser, no GUI file manager, etc. I'll be using #ranger, elinks/lynx/w3m (not sure which yet), #tmux, and all the TTYs to replace #i3 workspaces. I'll try to keep you guys updated on how it goes! Don't expect any screenshots 😂

I'm doing a little poll here to prove a point to a friend. How many of you current #Android users use #FDroid? If you're not on Android any more, did you use F-Droid when you were?

I have to wonder why #eelo is so popular among people who are trying to "de-google" their lives and use something privacy-respecting and open source. I've personally experienced their censorship on Telegram when I asked a few basic questions about user privacy and how it truly differs from LOS with microG.I also saw that you have to have an account with /e/ before you can use some of the most basic features. It's also incredibly buggy with reports every day about things breaking.

http://ewwlo.xyz/evilTheir commits are also . . . a little weird to say the least. This one seems to be reverting a revision of a reversion:https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/os/android_frameworks_base/commit/b8a11b02637c77dcfac7cac256542bdcc75d521bAnd in this one, all they did was remove Google from the dialer! 😡 https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/os/android_packages_apps_Dialer/commit/c4dedf8320d29d00a2808ce7c7816305f3732aaf

Needless to say, I did not vote for /e/ to be the next mobile OS on the Fairphone 3. Even Replicant is by far the better choice.I really hope to see postmarketOS or Ubuntu Touch on it. They would be really cool 🤔 https://forum.fairphone.com/t/poll-what-os-es-do-you-want-to-run-on-your-next-fairphone-fp3-or-later/44519

@kelbot If you decide to make one, keep us updated on the progress and maybe write a blot post or something about it if you're able. I'm certainly interested!

Just uploaded a new video to #Peertube that shows a script I wrote to #theme my whole desktop based on a random wallpaper.https://pe.ertu.be/videos/watch/9bab0dd7-13cb-4dbe-a885-e25e70fa50b4

I'm kind of nervous about this but I think it's finally ready. What I've been working on over the past few months is, in part, my website. I've added a few pages, changed some things around, and done a lot of CSS work. It's a lot cleaner than it used to be.In addition to that (and this was the real time-sink), I'm now #selfhosting 9 different #libre applications available for anyone to use completely free of charge. #NixNet is now a Libre Hosting provider!https://nixnet.xyz

Found a really cool project called #ShadowFox that gives Firefox a global dark theme and gives you the option for additional customisation (like my rounded tabs). It ALSO themes popular extensions like uBlockOrigin, uMatrix, Decentraleyes, as well as many others! Check out the project at the link below! https://overdodactyl.github.io/ShadowFox/

I just got an email from Have I Been Pwned (#HIBP) saying that one of my email addresses was part of a recently revealed data breach."The unique email addresses totalled 772,904,991.""There are 21,222,975 unique passwords."https://www.troyhunt.com/the-773-million-record-collection-1-data-reach/The article doesn't give many details about the breach itself, just how to use their products to protect yourself. I dislike that but this is still important to share in case someone is seriously affected by this breach.(please boost)

@codesections Top results using my self-hosted #searX instance. You get all the good results from Google and other providers without the tracking.

I hate it when I get like this. It doesn't happen often.I'm bored. There's nothing I want to be doing right now. And when I'm not doing anything, I think. I spend all day keeping myself from thinking. Being with friends. Podcasts. Games. Music. Writing. Hosting a new application. The list goes on. I make up things to do to keep me busy, to keep me from thinking. It kills me.

Looks like the new #Mastodon update brings a profile directory to make it easier to find people in topics you're interested in on your own instance. Simply add some #hashtags to your bio, check the option in profile settings, and you'll be included! 😁https://fosstodon.org/explore

I need to learn a really good programming language. I've settled on either C or C++. C++ seems to be easier but C seems to be more functional and performant. In addition to choosing one, I also need something to make. I find normal tutorials and stuff don't help; I learn best out of necessity. If there's something I need/want done, I'll find a way to make it happen. But I don't know what I need or want 🤷♂️
