       is it just me or has FB tweaked the parameters of their recommendation algorithm to show things people are actually interested in?ok, maybe that's going a bit too far, but for me about 2 in 10 posts are genuinely interesting or fun, the rest is varying from "yeah, okay but still not gonna click it" to "at least you tried" but very few complete misses

       @stavvers joking aside, there's nothing wrong with this thing, there's solid engineering work behind it, but the breathless superlative sales pitch makes my stomach turnwe live in the stupidest timeline where you can't sell anything these days with "hey, i've taken this old thing that was kinda neat but we abandoned a century ago, tinkered with it to make it better and here it is"
