@scottjenson @slightlyoff From everything I've seen the load issues come almost entirely from how the federation works and a few other backend things that should probably be adjusted.Which is a shame, because I love to give React a hard time.

@jared @scottjenson @slightlyoff Correct, that comes down to the lack of experience operating this application at scale and some much needed code improvements to make that easier.But if you watch what happens every time you post, there's a lot of work that Sidkiq has to do to forward your post to other servers and the somewhat big servers get backlogged on that.

@jared @scottjenson @slightlyoff I almost tipped my own server just connecting to a couple relays, so I'm not convinced sidekiq is going to be the long-term best choice for all that federation work. Something that's a purpose built transport broker will definitely scale and perform better.
