@jerry @feld yes! It even uses pretty much the same scrape config. In most cases it just a drop-in replacement for prometheus

@whitequark RSD is a friend of my ADHD. My therapist told me that you can use same rule as with an anxiety: it’s okay to be hurt sometimes with a clear reason why. Like if you made an effort to make a present for someone and they instead of being happy where rude or angry at you. but if it constantly hurts, especially if you are feeling guilty of person being upset on you, it’s not normal and it’s an disorder. in many cases it caused by parents giving no shit about your emotions in early childhood. Who would have thought that right

@foone it could be worth just adding WebAssembly runtime like: https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasm-micro-runtimeThen you can use anything that can be compiled to WASM. But depending on requirements, it could require adding WASI layer and that could be, errrr, trickyAfter seeing how @whitequark ported LLVM and FPGA stuff to run in a **browser** I’m seriously considering this path for my next project

@buttplugio please-please-please pass parameters as url parameters PUT /devices/1/features/1?vibration=0.5&position=3&stuff=42Query parameters are much easier to work with than building huuuge url (and memorizing the order along the way)

Hey, #selfhosting and #selfhosted Any recommendations for self-hosted audio/video calls? One to one and small groups (up to 5-10), preferably with simple iOS & Android apps as well as web based calls. I know about Jitsu Meet and Nextcloud Talk. Anything else? Thanks!

Hum. I’ve planned to upgrade part of my local network to 10GbE. Original plan was MikroTik CR304 for L2 and something on N100 or similar for L3, including routing WAN to my 1 gig ONT. But now I’m reading about Banana Pi R4 Pro and it got 2×10G RJ45/SPF+ combos on AS21010P and 4× 2.5G and 2× 1G (rj + fpc). You can also get wifi modules. From forum it seems like it’s kinda-sorta “dev board”, not everything made it up to mainline kernel and there are quite a few rough edges. I’m not really a fan of building linux forksBut it cost like 250$ delivered, including case? MikroTik alone cost 200$And doing 10G over N-class intel CPU’s is also not a smoothest of all roads🤔
