Its three different peoples often ruled by outsiders and commonly warring internally. They never went through an ethnogenic event like other people and were moving extensively during their history up until they collonized the globe.

@sickburnbro @jb @TrevorGoodchild It might be classic Trump negotiation tactics of comming out with a crazy initial offer to throw the opposition off before getting as favorable terms as possible. That and dread is probably right about power players backing him getting what they want, after playing to the base and making a spectacle.

Big shareholders influence a board which sets goals. individual agents try to meet those goals and jockey for positions. they have some freedom in hitting targets given they don't cross certain red lines. Trump is loyal to the extent he would lose position and assets. Trump was onice till nothing else worked. Bance was lined up before as the bone to throw to middle America

This upsets some board members but overall he is bringing in money. Now a rival firm targets the gop firm for having him there and he causes internal problems. Next activist investors work to remove him in 2020. proves to be a failure and no good replacement is found so they vote him back in.

@judgedread Sorry they arent cool to the scifi enthusiasts but a six axis or scara on a wheeled platform is much easier in a large number of applications. cobots kind of failed in many areas because of safety concerns. there are too many idiots funding these and driving hype in the Android space. We may see a drop off before we see an eventual wide adoption

@judgedread I get that but we use humans in places are not optimal for humans. Square peg round hole and now just getting a better square peg. Definitely some places an android will be the best fit but they are being over hyped. MBAs chase these shiny things then screw up implementation. BD and tesla are struggling for profitability

@judgedread just custom tool heads that can be changed. a mobile platform and a couple 6axis can do mosy of what humans do with better stability. i agree in general with you but i expect this first roll out will be flubbed because of the people involved but after the hype wears off the right people will make it a sustainable market segment. most jobs though are highly specialized and so a specialized robot will be used at scale
